My husband and I decided to stay at the Carambla Beach Resort. From my research I was aware the past couple of years had been tough ones for the resort but I also knew that it had gotten a new owner in August 2002. It has the most spectacular setting imaginable. We felt like we were in a movie-it was so beautifull. The new owners have put considerable effort into refurbishing the exteriors of the villas and to reclaim the wonderfull landscaping. One of the upper level management guys was there and he said that they planned to do the interiors next and were even considering possibly going time share. Our room was lovely and it really didn't matter that it needed a bit of TLC. The staff was attentive and excellent. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay great.
